No Go

We're half packed (and half baked), have lists galore for Grandma, laundry almost done, house clean, visas arrived today. And the verdict is...we're cancelled. Maybe we can get rescheduled before the 30-day visa expires, maybe not.

There isn't much to say right now. It is disappointing.

Natalie thinks we can't bring Owen home yet because he doesn't know how to walk yet (we don't actually know whether he can or can't, but she saw a baby crawling the other day and I compared him to Owen, so that is now her image of him). I only wish the hold-up was that simple.

I am so sorry to hear that your trip has once again been postponed. I can't imagine.

I wish I could say something to be of comfort. It has been such a long and difficult journey so far for you.

It is so sad that something like politics gets in the way of blessing a family and a little boy that would be part of that family.

I hope you hear something soon about a rescheduled trip.

I am so mad, sad, and overall disappointed for you guys- hopefully you will get to head over there soon.

Tracy,
How dissappointing and upsetting this is. I really hope you'll still get to go see Owen this month before the visas expire.

Tracy,
Sorry to hear about the delay. As I'm sure you have heard, things happen for a reason. And you may not know now, but there is a reason for this delay. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
When this happened to us, Inessa did get us to Russia within our visa timeframe. We left Russia the day our visas expired. So hang in there, it will happen.

We're thinking of you. Sorry to hear about the setback, hoping the delay is short & that you will be jetting off to Russia soon!

Broke my heart to read this. Hopefully, this is just one of life's little detours. Hope common sense overcomes and Owen gets to become part of a great family. Godspeed.
