Wow, Owen's so calm in this video!! Total opposite from Alex. Alex never stopped screaming during both of our visits. In fact, he cried so hard, the caregivers just gave up and took him away 30 mins early both times. I still have nightmares of our first visit :)
Yes, the calm was unnerving in it's own way. Screaming would have been hard too. The calm just seemed so strange and without emotion. He must have been very scared and very tired.
Doesn't it just break your heart! But then you also are so overjoyed to see how much they change by being in a loving family. You trusted in the Lord and I feel that we would have done the same. We had 1 hour with Tanner on our first trip. He didn't do much either but he was only 8 months old. I didn't contact the doctor or anything because we knew everything would be all right. Thanks for sharing your experience.
